The growth of the Lakeside Hammers speedway team over the last three years has been remarkable. Taken into new ownership from the 2007 season, the club progressed in 2008 and rocketed up the table in the top flight speedway league in the UK to realise its first ambition of securing a place in the season ending play-offs.
Grand finalists and finishing a hugely successful joint first position in the table in 2008, the team then followed that up by reaching the play-offs for the second consecutive season in 2009 and also tasted KO Cup glory. The league title itself is the Club's ambition for the 2010 season.
With superb media coverage throughout Essex, London and the South East echoing the excitement around this successful growth, The Lakeside Hammers mean Business!
