Elite League A fixture : Friday 18th April 2008 @ 8pm

The return of Andreas Jonsson and the return to form of Joonas Kylmakorpi were just two of the positives taken from this meeting by the Hammers. The ensuing, thumping victory over Peterborough was achieved in comfortable fashion against a side that only had Hans Andersen - and Kenneth Bjerre, to a lesser extent - to count upon.
AJ made his track return in typically spectacular fashion, jetting from the tapes with Leigh Lanham ahead of Hans Andersen, although Andersen found a way through to split the pairing.
The heat advantages came thick and fast for the Hammers - Ricky Kling passed Claus Vissing to win heat two, leaving the crowd to be heartened by a sterling return to form for Kylmakorpi alongside Adam Shields.
Panthers' Daniel King took an alarming fall exiting the first turn of heat four and after lengthy care and attention on the track he journeyed back to the pits on foot. The damage for Panthers, though, was the concession of another 5-1 in the re-run.
An early heat five tactical ride outing for Hans Andersen yielded a 6-3 for the Panthers, although service was resumed when Jonsson and Lanham renewed last month's 5-1 machine with a maximum in heat seven.
Two 5-1's immediately after the turn in heat nine and ten effectively sealed the victory for the Hammers and it took some excellent team riding from Andersen to earn Peterborough's first advantage of the meeting.
Kylmakorpi completed three paid wins when he saw Kling through for victory against Bjerre - riding as a tactical substitute - in the penultimate race before Hammers completed a thoroughly comprehensive victory in the final race.
