And it's not even raining in my heart (or yours I hope!) so see you all later I trust!

Trackstaff hard at work getting the circuit in tip top condition so the Hammers can swat those pesky Bees!

Not a gardener then Bryn, you shouldn't swat bees they do a lot of good work.

Pratty Snr's lot of Bees from Coventry don't in my experience! What does a gardener do then other than the the speedway version who, using their boots, take delight in digging up grooves at the start line after Gerald R and co have lovingly prepared the track?

5.00pm WEATHER CHECK

May be raining in Maidstone, Southend and Outer Mongolia BUT not here at track, nor has it been, nor is it forecast to!

Cya later alligators - and Hammers' fans!

I came along the A13 London-bound from Orsett and the electronic sign warned of northbound closures on the M25, IT DIDN'T SAY AT WHAT POINT..........that was at 3.30pm, I'd expect that to be clear now!

I'm not "Travel Watch", so don't rely on my info, check with the appropriate agencies.

Josh Auty could also pose us a few problems down at reserve.

6.15pm Weather Update:

Getting bored typing this now BUT clear blue skies up above, sun's out, NO weather probs! 8pm start.

One minor blip, entertainment level might be diminished slightly as Rosco not with us as pesky Bees team manager this evening. On the other hand might be more entertaining as Pratty Snr deputising!

Looks like S Robson won the meeting for the Hammers tonight (courtesy of the updates website)

I would now be amazed if Duggo and Cook keep this septet come the 1st August.

He did - and in magnificent fashion.

Before you unload any of the septet you have to have 'better' replacements lined up.

Great result, absolutely fantastic performance by Robbo. It was great to see him swooping round the outside.

Commeth the hour , commeth the man.A big well done to Robbo tonight with his best performance I think in Hammers colours, FANTASTIC .

That said Robbo scored 17 points which saved the day and Kennett had a stinker. If he had been on form we could have been beaten tonight.

K.N.,D.D. & P.H. in particular ( not at the races ) have to be a concern and I have to agree with O.B. changes need to be made if momentum is to be maintained or returned. J.C. appears to be on verge of making them from programme notes .Swiderski would probably score more than all three together away and surely would give us that missing edge and lift team on and off track.Poole will be an uphill task with those three out of form.

Had to feel a bit for D.D. tonight in the pits he was looking very dejected.

Glad the rain clouds stayed this side of the Thames. As you said Bryn. The Sun was out and the sky was blue. And it finished up a perfect night.

I wonder how much of DD's current blip in form is down to the two tumbles that he had at home a few weeks ago (i forget who against), he just hasnt seemed the same rider since.

I fear for Pauls place in the team at the moment, he just looks so down in confidence.. again, i wonder how much his recent injury has affected his current form.

JD seemed to be shaken by Mr Kennetts inability to get out of the way and didnt seem his super-fast self after hitting Kennetts bike.

Kauko remains the enigma that he so often gets refered to as.

Adam looked quick at the front, but slow when behind (maybe the track wasn't to his liking?) I also wonder sometimes how much winning with Lakeside really means to him, he just doesnt ever seem to show real enthusiasm.

Lee remains mr consistent and his enthusiasm is incredible, an absolute joy to see from the teams point of view.

Robbo.... effort beyond any expectations and he was rightly rewarded tonight with an awesome performance.

All in all, another 3 points on a close night.. and thats exactly why we WILL be in the play-offs

Well Done to Robbo - absolutely fantastic performance.

Have to agree with Goldhawk regarding DD & PH. DD seems to have lost that early season sparkle that got us into this great league position and PH hasn't looked fast all season.

Thought Kauko wasn't that bad tonight - 6 Paid 9 was a good performance.

Am amazed you didn't come along and watch last night OB - it was an excellent match and three more points as the Hammers march towards the play offs. Mind you I did have a couple of phonecalls from Herne Bay during the afternoon saying it was raining there so guess that might be why you didn't attend.
