We are all moaning (me included) about lack of meetings but the fact is if we don't qualify for the play offs our season could be all but over in terms of meaningful meetings by the end of August. I'm still a bit confused (given the size of the EL) why we have to start the season in the middle of the winter.

spot on mick.if things dont change in the e.l. and they will probably not, the season could easily start during april which would tie in towards the end of the domestic football season.

You mean the soccer season: Football season does not start until the end of January/Early February......

I never said it would be easy: I said it would be worth it.

Little Un is getting a littel confused.
Football in England is Association Football.

Rugby Football is another sport.

In the US

Association Football is Soccer

Football is that strange sport that seems to have some links to Rugby football, with players wrapped up in helmets and huge shoulder pads.

That gear is what causes most injuries in gridiron. If they got rid of it all there would be less injuries and it might be a sport worth watching. The trouble with most sport invented in the USA to cover for their ADD, the beaks are longer than the plays and "Messages from our Sponsors" have a lot to do with that also.
